Crimsafe is a stainless steel security mesh and frame system. It is used to secure doors, windows and outdoor areas from intruders and insects alike.
This product has been copied by several other companies, a testament to just how good it is. It will keep your house cool in summer and bug free, unlike many other security screen on the market.
Crimsafe deters burglars by incorporating two unique features.
1. We 'screw-clamp' the mesh so it can't be kicked out.

The mesh is sandwiched between two serrated pieces of aluminum and firmly secured in place with stainless steel tamper-resistant screws.
This combination mechanically fastens the mesh to the frame and creates a barrier that is extremely hard to penetrate. Incredibly, some competitors try to use these screws against us. They claim they make our security system look ugly. In fact they're hardly noticeable. The screws can be the difference between a screen that gets penetrated and one that doesn't.
This system is internationally patented and unique. To ensure no air or moisture can penetrate the system, a generous strip of 3M Polymonomer separation tape is laid along the edge of the clamp and the frame (without air or moisture, there can be no corrosion).
2. Crimsafe's own mesh is 26.5% thicker so it's harder to cut.
At .9mm thick, it’s 304 grade tensile tuff mesh is 26.5% thicker than other security meshes on the market.
You can kick at this mesh repeatedly, and you will definitely injure yourself before you break through it. And it's incredibly difficult to cut Crimsafe mesh. You can take a machete and hack away at our mesh and you'll have a hard time getting anywhere. You might put a few holes in it but you won't be able to fit through them.

That's because there's a big difference in 'shear' strength between .8mm and .9mm mesh.
The real proof that our Tensile Tuff mesh is something special is this... before Crimsafe came on the market, nobody could even weave .9mm 304 grade stainless steel into the commercial mesh that our product is made of! We had to commission a wire products manufacturer to make special machinery before it could be done. And we did it because our background in the security industry told us that the mesh had to be thicker than .8mm to adequately defend against kicks and knife attacks.
Incidentally, most competitors using 316 "Marine grade" mesh and are actually using a thinner .8mm mesh that has a weaker strength rating than 304 Security mesh.
They correctly tell you that it's designed for use in salt water and that it resists rust longer than 304 grade stainless steel. But unless your home is actually immersed in salt water this is of little value to you.
There is actually only minor long term rust potential on dry land, even in coastal areas, and our 304 grade steel has a better tensile strength performance in security applications when under attack than 316.
Secret coating means long life and good looks

One last fact... The black coating that goes on our raw stainless steel mesh gives it that cool black look, but it is purposefully designed to protect it from the environment.
It took us a long time to develop it in conjunction with Dulux but we stuck at it until we got it right. We can't reveal the formula, but we can tell you that it is a high durability coating that contains additives to ensure long life and permanent good looks. The coating actively works against the build-up of airborne particles and makes cleaning easier.
To prove its worth, we sent test samples of our mesh to undergo the Salt Spray Test. This is a test that measures rust resistance when exposed to accelerated weathering conditions. A salt solution is sprayed at the test samples for 1000 hours, simulating 10 years of environmental exposure. Crimsafe passed easily.
So when we say Crimsafe beats more burglars, we really mean it. Burglars don't have a long time to spend trying to get into your home. They must get in, quickly, quietly, and get out. It's too damned hard to get through this mesh. So burglars will give up and move on.
